In the pursuit of improving service delivery to clients, we have enabled clients to send the below messages to the number

Each SMS will cost the customer 2(TWO) Kenya Shillings.

The client should ONLY use phone numbers registered under the specific client in the system in order to get a correct response.

The SMS word should have a space between the words. Capital or small letters do not affect response.

The SMS SHOULD NEVER INCLUDE CHARACTERS SUCH AS COMMAS (,), FULLSTOPS, APOSTROPHE(‘),QUOTES

    Example: “loan 10000” OR “LIMIT” AS THE SENT MESSAGES SHOULD BE OKAY

EITHER SHOULD BE ACCEPTABLE 

The short codes are as follows:

1.     Balance

Keyword used to request customers:

  • Loan balance,
  • Security Deposit Account balance and
  • Transactional Account balance.

ALSO THE CLIENT CAN REQUEST A SMS STATEMENT BY SENDING THE FOLLOWING SMS: statement

2.   Limit  

The response will include the client’s credit limit – the allowed maximum limit that a loan request can be booked.

3.   Status

The above code will respond with the status of a pending loan request.

The below are the receivable status messages.

  • Pending requirement  

Which means that one of the company requirements for the loan request have not been met.

  • Pending approval

 This means request mean all outstanding conditions have been met BUT the loan request has NOT been approved by the relevant parties.

  • Pending Disbursal

This means loan request has been approved and is pending actual disbursement to client phone or bank account.

4.    Loan amount

The above code will be used by clients to make a loan request through SMS.

            e.g.  Loan 20000 should be used to request a 20,000 KES loan.

If a client sends the above code for loan, the following are the expected responses:

  • Successful Request:

“Thank you for your application. Your request has been received. Inuka Staff will get back to you within 24-48 hours.”

  • Approved and Disbursed Loan request:

“Dear XXX, your loan is pending disbursal. Please standby for processing to occur. Helpline 0703395300”

  • Has Pending Loan Request:

“Dear XXX, you have a pending loan request. Please standby as we process it. Helpline 0703395300”

  • Pending Loan Request that has NOT been approved

“Dear XXX, your loan request is pending approval. Please standby as we process it. Helpline 0703395300”

  • If Customer has an active loan:

“Dear XXX, You have an active loan, Current Loan balance is KES XXX. Helpline 0703395300”

  • Has pending request that has NOT met loan requirements

“Dear XXX, your loan request has pending requirements, Inuka branch staff will contact you for further information. Helpline 0703395300”

  • The number used does not match any in the system:

“We cannot match your number with any client details, please retry with your Inuka registered mobile number. Kindly Call 0703395300 for any assistance.”

5.    Emergency Loan Product

            e.g.  emg 20000 should be used to request an Emergency loan of 20,000 KES .
Other acceptable variations are em 20000 OR emergency 20000

The above code will be used by clients with score above 60 to make a loan request through SMS.

6.    School Fees Loan

            e.g.  sf 20000 should be used to request an School Fees Loan of 20,000 KES .
Other acceptable variations are fees 20000 OR school 20000

The above code will be used by clients to make a school fees loan request through SMS.

7.    LandLord Loan

            e.g.  landlord 20000 should be used to request an Landlord Loan of 20,000 KES .

8.    Water Tank Loan

            e.g.  watertank 20000 should be used to request an Water Tank Loan of 20,000 KES .

Accept a Loan Request:

A client is required to reply to the Loan Request SMS by the message: accept

Rejected Loan Request:

“Dear XXX, your loan request has been rejected. Please contact your nearest branch for more information. Helpline 0703395300”
